Join us this June for what will likely be the most important ride of your life. Since 2014, Magic Places has been a keen supporter of Wounded Warriors Canada, a non-profit organization provides badly needed support and care programs for ill and injured first-responders and members of Canada’s Armed Forces and their families. WWC has been instrumental in championing public awareness and support programs for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder resulting in the saving of countless lives and families.
We are incredibly proud to be asked by Wounded Warriors Canada to conduct their annual charity bike ride, the Battlefield Bike Ride. A 5-day ride, BBR traces the route followed by Canadian soldiers in campaigns of the Great Wars and combines roughly 400km of riding through beautiful countryside with a powerful historical narrative. Each summer, this ride shows how and where our brave soldiers gave their lives to defend the oppressed, while forging our nations history and reputation. This year come be part of the ‘Ortona 80’ ride, as we commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Ortona, a gruelling battle that highlighted the Canadian contribution during the Italian Campaign of WWII. The tour begins in Ortona, and over five days, we make our way north, along the dramatic and beautiful Adriatic coastline, finishing in Ravenna, the historic capital of the Western Roman Empire that was liberated by the Canadian Armoured 4th Princess Louise Dragoon Guards on December 5, 1944.
